RelyMD’s Dr. Bobby Park to Present on Licensure and Billing at Wake Forest Baptist Health Center’s Telehealth Forum
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – (Feb. 5, 2018) – RelyMD’s Dr. Bobby Park, co-founder and director of virtual health at RelyMD, will give a presentation at the Wake Forest Baptist Health Center’s Telehealth Forum on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at Babcock Auditorium. Dr. Park will specifically discuss licensure regulations in treating remote patients and the components of billing and accounting for telehealth.
Other speakers at the forum include: Will Showalter, chief information officer for Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Allen Joines, mayor of Winston-Salem, Donny Lambeth, North Carolina state representative, Judi Manis, regional vice president of healthcare strategic relations for AT&T’s Internet of Things Healthcare Group, Josh Brown, director of telehealth and patient engagement for Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, and multiple other faculty members.
“In the past, many patients automatically turned to an emergency department, urgent care or EMS call when injury or illness occurred outside of the small window of standard doctor’s office hours,” said Dr. Park. “Now, telehealth is able to provide them with access to quality healthcare around the clock, reducing the utilization of unnecessary emergency resources and increasing value for all involved.”
Dr. Park will present at 12:30 p.m. More information can be found here.
