Rick Rountree – President & Principal
As founder and president of Rountree Communications, Rick Rountree brings a wealth of communications experience and expertise. A graduate of the College of Journalism & Mass Communications at the University of Georgia, Rick began his communications career as a reporter for newspapers in Augusta, Atlanta and Macon, Ga. He transitioned into corporate communications and specialized in media relations. His work in crisis communications led him to a decade-long role as Director of Public Affairs with a life sciences company in Research Triangle Park.
Rountree has received several awards for his work in crisis communications. Rick holds certificates of completion from the MIT-Harvard Public Disputes Program and the Managing Individual Organizational Change program at the University of Virginia Darden Graduate School of Business.
Rountree launched Rountree Communications in April 2000. The Raleigh-based agency serves a growing variety of clients, relying on the principles of small business such as personal oversight and accountability. The firm specializes in media relations, reputation management and providing web and digital solutions.
Lindsay Priester – Senior Manager of Client Relations
Priester has more than eight years of public relations agency experience with food, retail, hospitality and technology clients. She tends to the needs of our varied and growing list of clients.
Priester’s expertise in media relations has resulted in consistent national, regional and local coverage. She serves as a client spokesperson, has daily interaction with news reporters and has experience in problem solving with multiple clients simultaneously. Priester’s strong writing skills include the development of impactful news releases, media advisories, statements for companies in crisis, white papers, case studies and social media content. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in Communication Studies and English.
